Uh oh.

So, I recently spoke with Damian and we were speaking about different things within the realm of Zed. The first issue is going to be done in the near future, and yes we did say this a few months back. But after discussing the dialogue and what not, we are nearing the completion of issue #1.

Keep one eye open, and spread the word.

We Baaaaack!!!

This past weekend I made a trip out to my old high school to see a close friend graduate. Actually some close friends. It was great to be back in the Penn State, with clean air, great friends, awesome family, and good food. In the process of being up there I got to see Alex. We converse as much as we could. We vowed to start up on Zed again and work on other projects. I handed him a script and told him we have to get things done this summer. NO EXCUSE. I also got to run into Aaron Suh. I'm writing a script just for him. I wish we could've had more time to sit down, talk, and exchange ideas but we had love ones we had to attend to.

But I made sure to snap a picture of us. This one is gonna be one for the books when we become famous.

Getting to know you.

Hey there,

It's been a while. I'm writing just to say where I've been with life. I've been back and forth between Pennsylvania and Tennessee, which has brought many different angles on life to my attention. With that said, I would like to inform you all that I am moving back home to Pennsylvania. I am a little sad towards the idea of me moving back home, but I am very much looking forward to it. I have met some pretty amazing people down in Tennessee, and I rekindled some friendships made back in the 1st grade. I have had some excellent times down here, and I have also had some not so excellent times. I'm glad I got to experience this, I'm glad I got to meet and know new people, I'm glad I got to experience what I have experienced, and I'm glad I got to learn more about myself.

All this stuff that has been going on, and it has kept me behind on my writing of Zed. You all can look forward to new stuff coming out this summer/fall, Zed-wise, music-wise, and writing-wise. I hope you all are able to enjoy it, and I hope you all take something from it.

Tonight...

So Alex told me to refer to the Strokes for Horsefist.

So tonight I listen to tons of Strokes and do research.

Lately I've been sketching up some Zed for Alex. I finally settled on the style I want to use to tell the story with. But I realize something else is just important in telling this story that Alex has wonderfully put together. Music.

Yes, music is the heart and blood that is going to pump this comic. Zed is this emo kid who has the greatest taste in music. From what I read in the first script you will definitely be able to sense the awesomeness of this music. But how does the music sounds? That's what's been on my mind.

I know that it is very hard to portray music in a comic. But I realize that best way to portray the feel of this music is to do my best to make the band members as much of the story as the other characters. By giving the band members life I give the music they play life, and the the reader can hear the sounds they think the band makes. Hence came a slight problem. Alex and I taste in music, especially rock, are opposite. I love the punk rock emo. While Alex loves the screamo heavy metal, I guess. When I started to think about how the band would look, instantly images of Anarbor and Boys Like Girls popped into my mind. But I knew Alex wouldn't agree. So I made sure tell him to send me a description of this band, HorseFist.

I look forward into drawing the band out. I'm going to try my best to go all out and see if I can fool Alex and others into thinking this band is actually real. I kid I kid. I'll just fool others.

I know we've been neglecting the blog. But do bare with us. We are two college kids in two different states trying our best to make a comic you all would enjoy. I will do my best to get this comic done by the end of March.

Friday.

Today was Friday.
It was a good day.
The past few weeks have been a little tough, but I've been through worse. I'm currently looking for work. I've been writing music, and I've been writing things other than music.
I know this may sound like a cliche remark, but I really do enjoy expressing myself through music, and through writing stories.
Since moving down to Tennessee, I've been trying to make my apartment the closest thing to home for me; and to be honest, sometimes I don't want to walk past the door to leave this apartment.
With this said, I've come up with a list of things to do by the end of this month:
1.) Acquire a job.
2.) Get a 6-7 song set list so I can start playing shows.
3.) Finish writing issue #2 of 'Zed'.
4.) Be more sociable. (stop being a lay-down Larry)

Aww Yeaaah!

Hello folks!
I just wanted to let you all know that through the past two months, the computer issues, the procrastination, and through the hard times, that the first installment of 'Zed' is in. Though the title won't just be 'Zed'. Damian will now go through the process of depicting the characters, and the short should be up for you all to read soon enough.
